Hudson, MA
On March 26, 2011, Hazel Alice (Fish) Longhi, 90, a lifelong resident of Hudson, passed away after a long and fruitful life. She was born in Hudson on December 22, 1920. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Carmino (Moose) Longhi of Hudson and her four children, Karen Hawes and her husband Ron of Ellsworth, ME, Michael Longhi and his wife Becky of St. Louis, MO. Mary Osborne and her husband David of Hudson and Jo-Lee Craven and her husband Jim of Maryville, TN; her 9 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her brother, George "Buddy" Fish of North Attleboro and her sister, Virginia White of Plymouth. Her home was always open to friends and family so she also leaves behind many "adopted" family members. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Alice (Berry) Fish and her sister, Mary Esther Fish.
She attended St. Michael's Grammar School and graduated from St. Michael's Academy. Her work life included many years at Digital, Inc. In Maynard and Sears in Hudson. She was an active member of the Emblem Club of the Hudson Lodge of Elks and St. Michael's Church.
She loved to paint, crochet and square dance. She and Moose were active members of the Square Wheelers Square Dance Club.
Her family extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff on Granger 2 at Marlboro Hospital and the entire staff at Marlboro Hills Healthcare Center.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 29th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 28th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
