Helen M. (Moran) Costabile, 77, of Hudson, died on Tuesday, March 31 at UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus in Worcester. She leaves her husband of 54 years, Frank F. Costabile of Hudson.
Born and raised in West Roxbury, daughter of the late Michael and Ellen (Heston) Moran, she was a 1949 graduate of Mission H.S. Helen has resided in Hudson since 1963 and was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. She was employed as a clerk at the former Registry of Motor Vehicles branch in Marlboro for 23 years until she retired in 1992. She was a former CCD Instructor for Saint Michael's Parish, former Den Mother with the Hudson Cub Scouts and was also an avid supporter of the former Royal Jades CYO Band in Hudson.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Joseph Costabile and his wife Cynthia of Hudson; her daughter, Diane Milton and her husband Michael of Marlboro; her sister, Mary Bresnahan of Melrose and brother, Richard Moran of Sandwich. She also leaves her grandchildren, Brian Costabile of Grafton, Debra Costabile of Hudson, Justin Milton of Marlboro, Corie-Lyn Milton of Providence, RI; her great grandchildren, Ella Grace Costabile, Adriana Vesquez and nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 4 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
