Hudson, MA
Helen C. (Poreda) Fearing, 92, a long time resident of Hudson, died Tuesday, Jan. 4th at Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center in Methuen. She was the wife for 60 years to the late Frank H. Fearing who died in 2001.
Helen was born and raised in Hudson, daughter of the late Stanisalaw and Sophie (Piascik) Poreda. She was a former employee for the Raytheon Co. in Wayland and also was employed by the former Thomas Taylor & Son's Co. in Hudson. Helen was a member of the Hudson Emblem Club, Hudson Garden Club and Hudson Senior Center. She was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Metheny and her husband Thomas of Haverhill; her son, Raymond Fearing and his wife Jeannette of Douglas and was predeceased by her son, Francis Fearing Jr. in 2003. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Stephen Fearing of Douglas, Tanya and Laura Metheny of Haverhill and many nieces and nephews. Her three siblings predeceased her.
A calling hour will be held on Friday, Jan. 7th from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial following the service will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
