Helen E. (Hester) Lively, 90, of Hudson, died on Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at Marlborough Hospital. She was the wife of the late Chester F. Lively for 57 years until his death in 1998.
Helen was born and raised in Clinton, daughter of the late Martin F. and Mary (Donnelley) Hester and was a 1936 graduate of Clinton High School. She later attended Becker College and graduated in 1938. Helen moved to Hudson from Clinton along with her husband Chester and has resided in Hudson since 1946. She was employed for many years by the former Richard T. Harrity Co. in Hudson until her retirement. She was a member of the Hudson Senior Center and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Helen is survived by her two sons, William Lively and his wife Joanne of Hudson, Paul Lively and his wife Maryanne of Hudson and was predeceased by her daughter and son-in-law, Hester F. and William Bazydlo of Clinton. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Lisa and Philip Bazydlo, Sara LaFleur, Kate Patton, Kelley and Will Lively; her five great grandchildren, Madison, Ryan, Scott, Will and Michael; her life long friends, William and Marian Fearing of Lancaster and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, Gertrude O'Malley of Clinton, Alice McLaughlin of Clinton, John H. Hester of Wellesley and William Hester of Clinton.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 28th, at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint John's Cemetery, Clinton. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Dec. 27th, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
