Helen V. McCarthy, 95, a longtime resident of Hudson, died on Sunday, November 13th surrounded by her loving family. She was the loving wife of the late Franklin P. McCarthy.
Helen was born in Dorchester, the daughter of the late Redmond McDonough. She resided in Hudson for the past 52 years where she raised her family. In her spare time she enjoyed square dancing, crocheting, symphony music and most of all enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
She is survived by her six children, John P. McCarthy and his wife, Blanche, Kathleen M. McCarthy, William F. McCarty and his wife, Jeanne, Joseph R. McCarthy, Jean McCarthy and Joan McCarthy. She is predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Angela McCarthy. In addition to her children she is also survived by her five grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday November 17th from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial will be held in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
