Hudson, MA
Henry A. Morel, 85, of Hudson, died Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough, MA following a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was the husband of Catherine (Burgwinkle) Morel of Clinton who died in 2001.
A lifelong resident of Hudson, he was the son of the late John and Josephine (Barrett) Morel, also of Hudson.
He was a graduate of Worcester Trade School. Mr. Morel was a cabinet maker at the Gothic Craft Co. in Northborough for more than 20 years. He also worked for Lloyd's Woodworking in Hudson.
He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. He loved hunting, fishing and gardening.
He leaves his children, Kathleen Pike of Whitman, MA, Ann Blanding and her husband Robert of Bolton, MA and Elaine Morel of Lee, MA. He is also survived by his sister, Helen Ahearn of Pt. Charlotte, FL; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Robert Morel of Hudson, MA, Charles Morel of El Segundo, CA and John Morel of Waltham, MA.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning Street Hudson, MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson, MA. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, Nov. 9, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
