Hudson, MA
Ingrid (Schroder) Pauplis-69, of Hudson, died Monday, Feb. 18 at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Alfred Pauplis of Hudson.
She was born in Germany, daughter of the late Ernst and Erna (Pruss) Schroder.
Mrs. Pauplis was raised and educated in Germany. She has resided in Hudson along with her husband since 1969. She was a licensed day care teacher for local centers in the Hudson area, most recently the Cottage Children's Center in Marlboro before retiring in 2003. She spent many years as a volunteer in the Hudson School System while her children were attending school. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and crossword puzzles in her spare time.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Cindy Crowley and her husband Paul of Windham, NH and Wayne Pauplis of Bethesda, MD. She is also survived by her sister, Johanna Naujoks of Marlboro; 2 grandsons, Jack and Matthew Crowley and many nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Feb. 22, at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson MA. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Feb. 21, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
