Irene F. Kelley (Smith) was called home on January 8, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Born in Boston mass on April 28, 1919. Eldest child of Edith M and John Smith. Predeceased by siblings John Smith, Ellsworth Me, Edith Feltrup S. Boston Ma, Dorothy Mcmakin Tewksbury Ma, Teresa Casserta Winthrop Ma, and Barbara J. Beale of Hopkington Ma.
Survived By siblings Edwin L. Smith Nashua N.H., Bernard Smith Concord Ma, Marie McAllister Marlboro Ma, and George Smith Burlington Ma.
Mother of David J. Collum (deceased) Patricia Vorce Hudson Ma, and daughter in law Margaret Collum Ringe N.H.
Grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 23, and great-great-grandmother of 8. Also survived by many Nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by husband David J. Collum during World War 2, she remained an active life long member and chaplain of the Gold Star Wives. Irene also predeceased by husband Francis Kelley.
Formally of Natick Ma, a woman of great faith was a parishioner and performed adoration at St.Patricks Church in Natick Ma. After a long career Irene retired from U.S. govt Dept. of Agriculture in Boston.
Irene enjoyed sailing, bowling, and traveling but the most important was the love of her family.
The family wishes to thank Isabel, her main caregiver and also Celeste and staff of Faith and Family Hospice for extraordinary care and support.
