Isaura C. (Paulo) Costa, 81, of Hudson, died on Monday, Sept. 23rd at Kindred Transitional Care and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by her loving family and close friends. She was the beloved wife of the late Orlindo L. Costa for 43 years before his death in 1995.
Isaura was born and raised in Faia, Guarda, Portugal, daughter of the late Manuel and Teresa (Augusta) Paulo. She has resided in Hudson since 1976 and prior to Hudson, she spent 22 years in Mozambique, Africa. She was employed as an assembler for several local companies and retired from ACT Manufacturing of Hudson. She was a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting in her spare time and was always busy cooking her special dishes which she shared with family, neighbors and friends.
She is survived by her two children, Teresa M. (Costa) Figueiredo and her husband Lino of Fort Meyers, FL and Jose P. Costa of Hudson. She is also survived by her two brothers, Jose and Antonio Silva, both of Portugal and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 27th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Thursday, Sept. 26th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
