James E. Jobin, 91, of Hudson, MA, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007 at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlborough.
He was the husband of the late Ruth E. (Johnson) Jobin who died in 1986.
He was born in Marlborough, MA, son of the late, Charles and Evelina (Bouley) Jobin.
He was a manager for the former Victory Plastics Co. in Hudson until his retirement. He was a graduate of Boston College H.S. and later attended Boston College receiving his degree in 1937. He was an outstanding baseball player in high school and college and played third base for the St. Louis Cardinals baseball organization. He was a member of the Back Bay Fisherman's Club in Hudson.
He is survived by his children, James Jobin of Groton, VT, Ann Reid of Westford, MA, Mary Kadlik and Sally Bonazzoli, both of Hudson, MA, Susan Sweenie of Satalite Beach. FL, and Sylvia Allen of Brewster, MA. He is also survived by his 23 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was the brother of the late Charles Jobin, Mary Jobin, and Gertrude Duggan.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon, Friday, Jan. 5, 2007 in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson, MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
