James W. Mattos, 78, died December 22, 2004 at U-Mass Medical Center Marlboro. Born in Berkley, son of the late Antone and Deolinda (Medeiros) Mattos. Husband of Elva (Semas) Mattos of 52 years. Survived by his daughters Sharon and her husband Alan Lund of Holden and Gail and her husband Brian Hendrix of Marlboro, his sons Kevin Mattos of Hudson and Gary and his wife Wendy Mattos of Shrewsbury. Survived by his brother George Mattos of Taunton. Brother of the late Ralph and Daniel Mattos. Also survived by his grandchildren Brandon, Tyler and Tiana Hendrix and Natasha Mattos. James was a graduate of Durfee Technical High School and was also a graduate from Northeastern University in 1978. He was a veteran of the United States Army WW2. He was a member of the Raytheon Retirees Club and was communicate of St. Michael's Church. James enjoyed playing golf. He worked as an Engineer for Raytheon in Sudbury for 35 years prior to retiring. His Funeral will be held Friday December 24, 2004 from the Tighe-Hamilton funeral Home 50 Central St. Hudson with a funeral Mass at 9Am at St. Michaels Church 21 Manning St. Hudson. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery. Visiting hours are Thursday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm.
