Janice Greene

Janice C. (Lutz) Greene, 84, of Hudson, MA, passed away at her residence on Friday, January 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband George G. Greene in February 2024.

Janice was born in Sturgis, Michigan, daughter of the late Floyd & Florence Lutz. She was raised in Sturgis attending local schools and was a graduate of Sturgis High School. Janice spent many years raising her family and caring for their home along with her husband George.

Janice leaves behind her two sons Philip Greene of Brunswick, GA, and Rodney Greene and his wife Kate of Westford, MA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Emmett, Clara and Jeffrey Greene of Westford, MA. Janice was predeceased by her brother Martin Lutz and her sister Barbara (Lutz) Hazelwood.

Janice resided in Hudson, MA, along with her husband for three years and prior to that she resided in St. Simons Island, GA, for twenty-five years. She also spent time in Framingham, MA, and Southborough, MA where she raised her two boys (and two litters of Irish Setter puppies)

She was a Methodist, and a dedicated parishioner at The Plymouth Church in Framingham, MA. In her free time, Janice loved golfing with her husband George, and was a member of two golf clubs in St. Simons Island, GA. She and George attended several Masters Golf Tournaments. Janice was an accomplished bowler. She spent many years traveling around the country attending ten pin bowling tournaments. In her spare time Janice enjoyed spending time playing cards with friends and in her later years she enjoyed the challenges of the game Scrabble.

Calling hours for Janice will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 4pm-7pm, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA. A Celebration of Life will be held following Calling Hours on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 7pm. A private burial service will be at Pleasant View Cemetery in Middletown, Vermont.
