Hudson, MA
Jason Andrew Harmon, 39, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Hudson, dearly loved son of Ronald and Jane (Bradeen) Harmon of Hudson, lost his courageous battle with Burkitt's Lymphoma on Tuesday, May 28, 2009, exactly one year after being diagnosed. He was at home surrounded by his family just as he requested.
Jason was born in Marlboro, MA on September 18, 1969. He attended Hudson schools and graduated in 1987 from St. John's High School in Shrewsbury. He graduated from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire in 1991. A self professed "hotel geek" he worked for many hotels in New England and Florida before getting his "dream job" at Newmarket International in Portsmouth, NH as a training manager. He loved traveling and teaching and this position offered world travel as well as teaching in hotels around the globe.
In 1999 he moved to Dallas, TX to work for Omni Hotels in their corporate offices and at the time of his death, he was Global Field Sales Director for Omni Hotels and the Director of G-Leads for the Global Hotel Alliance, still doing his traveling and teaching on a different level.
Besides his parents, Jason leaves behind his partner, Stuart Boslow of Grapevine, TX and his special friends, Jerrod Resweber and Rob McClellan, both of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by his grandparents, Albert and Marion Harmon of Marion, NC as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins around the country. He was involved in so much and had so many friends in all varied interests, it's impossible to mention them all.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 12:00 noon at the Forestvale Cemetery, located on Broad Street in Hudson. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers, Jason asked that donations be made in his memory to: Dallas Resource Center, P.O. Box 190869, Dallas, TX 75219.
