Jay Timothy “Tim” Hannan, 59, of Worcester, MA, formerly of Hudson and Marlborough, passed away peacefully, on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Shrewsbury Nursing and Rehab Center, with his family by his side, after a period of declining health.
Tim was born in Danbury, CT, on November 10, 1962, a son of Paul F. Hannan and the late Frances S. Day. He was raised between Dryden, NY and Hudson, MA, where he graduated from high school and subsequently served in the United States Air Force. Tim returned from service to begin a career as an Electronic Technician.
Tim was a lifetime member of the Marlboro Eagles Aerie 643, where he enjoyed volunteering for their many charity events in the community. He was also a skilled handyman and was always willing to help a friend or anyone needing help with a home project. Tim was an avid fisherman and loved to take fishing trips to his favorite spots in the cape. He also was an animal lover, especially his beloved cat, “Grey”.
In addition to his father Paul F. Hannan, he is also survived by his siblings, Anne Marie Lourens and her husband Nick of Hudson, MA, Kathleen Hannan of Melrose, MA and Jennifer Day Khambatta and her husband Gustav of Hampstead, NH; 2 nieces, Kristen and Melissa Lourens and 2 nephews, Emerson and Zach Khambatta. He was also predeceased by his brother, Christopher B. Day.
Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 10-11:30am on Tuesday, July 19, 2022; immediately followed by a funeral service at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. Burial will be at a later time.
