Jean Greska, 81, of New Port Richey Florida (formerly of East Falmouth & Hudson Massachusetts), a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on May 26th, 2024. Jean grew up in Brighton, Massachusetts and attended St. Columbkille school. Throughout her life, Jean had many vocations including working as a circuit board inspector at GenRad and Honeywell, and as a matron at the Hudson Police Department. Jean was also a member of the Green Water Wizard’s Bass Fishing club and loved spending time on the water with her husband John and their family. They spent many beautiful summer’s at their residence in Peter’s Pond Park in Sandwich, Massachusetts before building their dream home in East Falmouth where Jean spent her days dedicated to her favorite pastime: yardsale-ing. Jean’s love of this pursuit was only trumped by her passion for her grandchildren; her greatest joy in life was being “Nana”. Jean’s loving embrace and wry sense of humor will be sorely missed, but not forgotten.
Jean was predeceased by her parents William and Anna Costine of Boston and her mother-in-law Edna Greska as well as her brothers Paul Costine and Richard Penta, her sister Carol Civetta, and her sons Joseph Cronin and Ferenc Turba. Jean leaves behind her loving husband of 46 years John Greska and their children: Theresa Liljegren and her husband James, Linda Turba and son-in-law Steven Reuss, Mick Greska and his wife Tina, Pam Sanchez and her husband Eucario, and her daughter-in-laws Autumn Turba and Cheryl Cronin. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Joseph Cronin, Taylor Liljegren, Alexander Reuss, Drew Greska, Samantha Pimentel, Sophia Reuss, Ilona Turba, and Selena Sanchez, as well as her brothers John and Robert Penta, her good friends Carol and Robert Jones, and her beloved dog, Lucy. The family would also like to acknowledge her faithful companions and caretakers Ozana and Jayme who have been a tremendous comfort in these last few years.
