Jean M. (Antila) Hanson, 77, of Hudson, died on Wednesday March 4th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 48 years to the late Richard N. Hanson Sr. who died in 2004.
Jean was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Edward I. and Celia (Minkinen) Antila. She was raised in Maynard where she attended local schools and graduated from Maynard High School, class of 1955. Jean has resided in Hudson for the past 48 years and was employed as an accountant for Data General in Westborough for 20 years.
Jean lived a simple life. She took great pride in raising her children along with her husband Richard and always looked forward to spending the summer months by the pool with family and friends. She truly cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and later her great grandchildren. She loved collecting memorable items of her life and will be fondly remembered by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Karen Perillo and her husband David of Frankfort, IL, Kathi Walker and her husband Barrett of Winston Salem, NC, Richard N. Hanson Jr. of Hudson, Kelly King and her husband Robert of Cape Coral, FL and was predeceased by her daughter, Kimberly Hanson in 2008. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, Janice Martin of Taunton, Scott Perillo of Illinois, Brian Perillo of New Hampshire, Lisa Perillo of California, Jessica Dal Santo of California, Elizabeth Walker of Illinois, Amanda and Nicole Hanson of Sterling, Alexis King of Southbridge and Meghan and Jaclyn King of Florida.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7th at 11:00 a.m. in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday March 6th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
