Jean N. Angelo M.D.-82, of Boston, MA, formally of Hudson, MA, died unexpectedly, October 16, 2006 at her residence in Boston.
Born in Hudson, MA, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Katherina (Koulovasile) Angelo.
She received her bachelors degree from Simmons College in Boston and later received her Medical Doctorate degree from Tufts University in Boston. She served her two year residency at the New England Medical Center in Boston and later joined the Neurology Team of Physicians at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
She began teaching and conducting research at Yale University in CT and later at the Bowman Grey Medical School in North Carolina until her retirement. She moved back to the Boston area shortly after.
She is survived by her sister; Georgia Roumas of Hudson, her nephew John Roumas of Leominster and her grand-nephew Nicholas Roumas. She was the sister of the late Christo Angelo, Demetra Angelo and Ansi Angelo.
A funeral service will be celebrated Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. in the Saints Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church in Marlborough. Burial will take place in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson, MA. There are no calling hours.
