Hudson, MA
Jesse A. Grillo-90, a life long resident of Hudson, MA, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2007 at Marlborough Hospital, in Marlborough.
He was husband to the late Margaret M. (Santos) Grillo who died in 2002.
He was born in Hudson, MA, son of the late Manuel and Mary (Custodio) Grillo. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson, the Saint Michael's Holy Ghost Society, the American Legion, Post 100 in Hudson and the Hudson V.F.W.
He was employed as a foreman for the former Poplins Furniture Co. in Hudson for 53 years until his retirement.
He leaves his daughter, Magdalen Brewer of Northborough; his son, Daniel Grillo of Gardner; his 2 grandchildren, Jessica Ross of Franklin, Nicole Tompkins of Spencer and his 4 great grandchildren, Taylor and Dylan Ross, Faith and Leah Tompkins and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Mary T. Grillo, Manuel Grillo, Lydia P. Grillo, Alfred J. Grillo, Joseph J. Grillo and nephew to the late Rev. Joseph T. Grillo.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Friday, Jan. 11, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
