Hudson, MA
Joan M. (Dober) Maguire, 83, of Northboro, formerly of Hudson, died Sunday, April 15th at her residence at Whitney Place in Northboro. She was the beloved wife of the late James D. Maguire who died in 1998.
Joan was born in Boston, daughter of the late James and Elizabeth (Barry) Dober. She resided in Hudson most of her life and along with her husband James, founded, owned and operated Atlantic Refrigeration of Hudson. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson and member of the A.O.H. of Marlboro.
She is survived by her children, Michael Maguire and his wife Karen of Hopkinton, Diane Taylor and her husband Jeff of Hudson, Joann Amberson and her husband Jeff of Northboro and was the mother of the late Robert J. Maguire who died in 1991. She is also survived by her two sisters, Geraldine Salvi of Stoneham, Mary Alice Dober of Somerville; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late James Dober.
Family and friends may attend a calling hour on Friday, April 20th from 8:00 to 8:40 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a funeral mass on Friday, April 20th at 9:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect Street, Marlboro. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
