Joan (Lindsey) McAuliffe, 76, of Hudson and Hyannisport, died Tuesday, Jan. 26th at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She leaves her husband of 52 years, Thomas McAuliffe of Hudson.
Born in Boston, daughter of the late Charles and Catherine (Lavin) Lindsey, Joan resided in Hudson most of her life and was a 1951 graduate of Hudson High School. She later graduated from the Katherine Gibbs School in Boston. She was the Vice President of WMRC-First Class Radio in Milford.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Lindsey Gorchev and her husband Plamen of Boston, Lisa Collins and her husband Thomas of Southboro, Tamara Martin and her husband James of Westboro, Suzanne McAuliffe and her wife Anne Brady of Worcester and Thomas McAuliffe II and his wife Megan of Hudson. She is also survived by her six grandchildren, Heather, Catherine and Christopher Martin, Tommy, Aidan and William McAuliffe; her sister, Phyllis VanWart of Quincy and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late, Dorothea Lindsey and Charles Lindsey Jr.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 30th at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Friday, Jan. 29th, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
