Joan M. (Sargent) Stephenson

BOLTON: Joan M. (Sargent) Stephenson, 86, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 15, 2022 after a long illness.  She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John H. Stephenson of Bolton; her daughter Lorraine “Lori” D. Stephenson and her husband Jeffrey Joyce of Bolton; her son John R. Stephenson and his wife Karina of Celebration, FL; her 4 grandsons: Nathan and Brielle Stephenson, of Charlotte, NC, Adam and Kaitlin Stephenson of Huntersville, NC, Alex Stephenson and Caitlin Strauhal of Woodbridge, VA and Eric and Mackenzie Stephenson of Ewa Beach, HI; 7 great grandchildren; her siblings: Eugene Sargent and his wife Patricia of  Bolton, Carl Sargent and his wife Elaine of Bolton and Dorothy McGuirk of Bolton; along with 24 loving nieces, nephews and friends.  Her son Kevin Stephenson, her brother Charles Sargent and his wife Ellie and her brother John Sargent and his wife Katherine all predeceased her.

Joan was born in Waltham the daughter of the late Charles (Fred) and Catherine (Noreau) Sargent.  She was raised in Needham with her siblings where she graduated from Needham High School.  Her family would spend their summers in Bolton, MA and this is where she met John.  They were married in 1958 and shortly after built their home on his family farm where they raised their family and operated Bolton Spring Farm together with family members for decades.  Joan enjoyed reading cookbooks, organizing family get togethers, cooking family meals and spending time with her Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews.  All who knew her will miss her dearly.
