Joanne H. (Proia) Kearney

Joanne H. (Proia) Kearney, 77, of Hudson, MA passed away at home, with her family by her side on Saturday, November 21, 2020, after a period of declining health. She is reunited with her beloved husband of 58 years, Robert “Bob” F. Kearney, Sr., and her Son, Robert “Bob” F. Kearney, Jr.

Joanne was born in Newton, MA, on October 27, 1943, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Russo) Proia. She was raised in Newton, where she attended high school. Joanne resided in Hudson since 1972 and worked for many years in production at Intel and later as a cashier at Stop and Shop. She was a caring person and enjoyed volunteering at the Hudson Food Pantry. She also enjoyed playing cards with her family and taking trips to Foxwoods.

Joanne is survived by two daughters, Kelly A. Kearney-Johnson and her husband Ted of CA and Cassandra E. Kearney of Hudson, MA; six grandchildren, Amanda, Hannah, Nicholas, Hayden Kearney and Travis and Colton Johnson; two brothers, Anthony Proia and Thomas Proia and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, son and loving husband, she was also predeceased by her brother Paul Proia.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 4pm until 7pm on Friday, November 27, 2020 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9am on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA; followed by entombment in Calvary Mausoleum at 250 High St., Waltham, MA.
