Joaquim C. Figueiredo-81, of Hudson, MA died Tuesday, October 17, 2006, at his residence in Hudson.
He is survived by his wife of forty seven years, Maria A. (Chaves) Figueiredo.
Born in Santa Maria, Portugal, he was the son of the late Manuel and Alexandrinha (De Chaves) Figueiredo.
He worked in the maintenance dept. of the Entwistle Corp. in Hudson for many years until his retirement. He served in the Army of Portugal before moving to the United States. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter; Maria F. Moura and her husband Paulo of Hudson, his son; Jose A. Figueiredo and his wife Elvira of Hudson. He is also survived by his two brothers; Jacinto Figueiredo of Canada, Augustinho Figueiredo of Santa Maria, Portugal and his two grandchildren; Debbie and Michael.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 18, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
