John H. Gill

John H. Gill, 89, of Manchester, NH Died December 31, 2017, at home with his family at his bedside, following many years of diminishing health.

Born September 2, 1928, in Hudson Mass, he was a long time Hudson, MA resident. John served in the United States Army following the end of WWII in the Military Police.  Following his military service, John earned his degree as a certified aviation mechanic. He worked as a machinist for several years and spent most of his working years working for the USPS as a Letter Carrier in Hudson, MA. After his retirement he also worked for the Hudson, MA school systems as a food service delivery agent.

John is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Therese C. (Richer) Gill of Manchester, also a Hudson, MA native; His daughter, Dianne Buczynski and her husband Michael, with whom he lived at the time of his death in Manchester; his Grandchildren, Michael Buczynski, Jr. of Hudson, NH, Patrice Bosworth of Holland MI, Joel Gill of Center Ossippee, NH, Aubrey  Hemler of Wells Maine. He also has 10 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Kaleb and Bailey Bosworth of Holland, MI, Andrew, Alyssa and Zachary Buczynski of Hudson, NH, Molly and Bryn Gill of Ossippee, NH, & Connor and Jackson Hemler of Wells, Maine.  John also leaves behind 2 sisters in Hudson, Ma; Margaret (Gill) Murphy and Anne (Gill) Simoes, and their spouses. He also has many nieces and nephews.

John was predeceased in life by a baby daughter, Patrice in 1963; his son, Kevin M. Gill in January 2017 and 2 brothers, Joseph and Robert.

Calling Hours will be from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St, Hudson, Ma; immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 4:00 pm in the funeral home. There will be a private interment in Baldwinsville, MA at a later date.
