John F. Sullivan III, 59, of Hudson, formerly of Plymouth and Avon, died unexpectedly at his residence in Hudson. He leaves his wife of 10 years, Jean M. (Silva) Sullivan of Hudson.
John was born in Boston and raised in Avon, son of the late Jack and Sally (Clougherty) Sullivan. He attended local schools and was a 1970 graduate of Avon High School. Following high school, he joined the International Pipe Fitters Union, Local 537 of Boston and remained with the union as a pipe fitter until retiring in 2009.
John enjoyed collecting antiques and was an avid guitar player. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Avon for many years. He has resided in Hudson since 2009.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his four children, Jason Sullivan of Brockton, Aaron Sullivan of Plymouth, John Sullivan IV of Middleboro, Joshua M. Silva of Hudson; his two step-children, Jessica Stauble of Lakeville, James Jarvis of Yakima, WA; his four sisters, Jane Houghton of Stoughton, Marian Sullivan of Plymouth, Susan Doherty of Stoughton, Lisa Walls of Plymouth and his six grandchildren, Devin, Erin, Molly and Amelia Sullivan and James and Aleecya Jordan. He also leaves his many loving family members and friends.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Sept. 24th at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 87 N Main Street in Avon. Burial services will be Private. There are no calling hours.
