John J. Ramalho-83, of Hudson, MA, died Wednesday, August 8, 2007, at Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough.
He was the husband of 60 years to the late Virginia (McLean) Ramalho who died in 2005.
Born in Hudson, MA, he was the son of the late Joaquim and Palmiera ( ) Ramalho.
He was employed as a machinist for the Entwistle Co. in Hudson, MA for 17 years before retiring.
He loved to travel with family and friends and especially enjoyed family trips to Nantasket Beach and Maine. He was an avid walker, often strolling along the streets of Hudson and was known to stop at the McDonald's Restaurant in downtown Hudson for a snack.
He leaves his 3 children, John J. Ramalho, JR. and his wife Cheryl of Ashland, MA, Rose Forbes of Hudson, MA and Jim Ramalho and his wife Cynthia of Hooksett, NH. He is also survived by his brother, Joe Ramalho of Hudson, MA, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother to the late Anthony Romalho and Mary Boudreau.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 13, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning street Hudson, MA. Family and friends may attend calling hours Sunday, August 12, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. (www.tighehamilton.com) 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
