John G. Woodman Jr., 76, of Marlboro, formerly of Hudson, died Saturday, Feb. 15th at Marlboro Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Jane (Manning) Woodman of Marlboro.
John was born in Marlboro, son of the late John G. Woodman Sr. and Hazel A. (Colomy) Woodman. He was raised in Stow, (Gleasondale) where he attended local schools and was a 1956 graduate of Hale High School in Stow. He was employed as a project manager by the Digital Corporation for 28 years starting in Maynard and also several other local locations until his retirement in 1992. John enjoyed camping, especially the frequent camping trips to the cabin at Broken Oar in Madison, NH with family and friends. He was an avid reader and life member of the Hudson Elks.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his three children, Cindy Woodman of Hudson, Jeff Woodman of Marlboro and MaryEllen Woodman of Marlboro. He is also survived by his twin sister, Shirley Sefton and her husband James of Bolton; three grandchildren, Kasundra, Nikki and Jasmine and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Patricia Nolet.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Wednesday, Feb. 19th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a service and celebration of John's life on Wednesday, Feb. 19th at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will be held at a later date in Brookside Cemetery, Stow.
