Jose B. Monteiro

Jose B. Monteiro, 52, of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 16, 2018, at Marlborough Hospital, surrounded by his family, after a period of declining health.

Jose was born on July 26, 1966 in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, a son of Maria Helene (Braga) Monteiro and the late Manuel Monteiro. He immigrated with his family to Hudson in 1975, where he still currently resided. Jose loved sports and especially of the local New England teams and FSU. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, most of all with his beloved grandniece and grandnephew, Ethyn and Zoey.

Among his many survivors, he leaves behind his mother, Maria Helene (Braga) Monteiro; a brother, John Monteiro and his wife Cindy of Clinton; six sisters, Maria Tinglof of Hudson, Bella Chaves of Hudson, Cindy Kilburn and her husband Stephen of Clinton, Nelia Cardoza and her husband Danny of Hudson, Laurinda Monteiro of Shrewsbury and Dianne Monteiro of Fort Worth, TX and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, Ma 01749. Burial will be private at a later time.
