Jose M. Carvalho, 61, of Hudson, died on Friday, Oct. 23rd at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He leaves his wife of 36 years, Maria F. (Cabral) Carvalho of Hudson.
He was born in Santa Maria, the Azores, son of the late Joao and Maria (Monteiro) Carvalho and resided there until moving to Hudson in1986 where he has resided since. He was employed at the Akabia Corp. in Northboro for 15 years until retiring do to his illness. He was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he leaves his two daughters, Zenalia Soares and her husband Flavio of Hudson and Marcia Shine and her husband Richard of Oxford. He is also survived by his two sisters, Maria Freitas of Canada, Natalia Freitas of Hudson; two brothers, Antonio and Davide Carvalho, both of Hudson; his grandson, Dominic Soares and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Oct. 26th at 1:00 p.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Oct. 25th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
