Joseph B. Andrade, Jr.

Joseph B. Andrade, Jr., 81, of Hardwick, MA, passed away on Sunday December 3, 2023, at Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, MA. He was born on July 5, 1942 in Marlborough, MA to the late Joseph B. Andrade, Sr. and Lena F. (Mello) Andrade. Joseph was a long-time resident of Hardwick, but was raised in Marlborough, MA, and also lived in Northborough, MA, and Sterling, MA.

Joseph had a passion for music, and was an accomplished and talented drummer and singer. He was a proud member of the Randy Rando Trio Band, the Mike Kay Duo Band, and the Swing Out Orchestra.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Joseph displayed great dedication to raising of Morgan Horses on the family farm in Hardwick. He was an active member of several Morgan Horse associations, and took immense pride in his accomplishments within the equestrian community.

Joseph leaves behind his loving wife of sixty-three years, Beverly S. (Tervo) Andrade of Hardwick, MA; sons Joseph B. Andrade III of Hardwick, MA, and Michael W. Andrade of Sterling, MA; sisters Inez Clemmer of Northborough, MA; Velma Donohue of Grafton, MA, Gypsy McGrath of Berlin, MA, and Jean Powell of Worcester, MA; grandchildren Valerie Andrade, Joseph B. Andrade IV, Michael D. Andrade; great-grandson Cillian, as well as other relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents Joseph B. Andrade, Sr. and Lena F. (Mello) Andrade; his son Mark "Yogi", his daughter Brenda Lee Andrade, his brother Arthur Andrade, and his sisters Elaine Petkauskas and Barbara Guerard.

Joseph will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Calling Hours for Joseph will be held on Thursday December 7, 2023, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street in Hudson, MA. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday December 8, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM, also at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home; followed by procession to Saint Michael Cemetery located at 278 Cox Street, Hudson, MA, for Committal Services.

Joseph B. Andrade Jr. lives on in the hearts of those he loved and touched throughout his lifetime. May he rest in eternal peace.
