Hudson, MA
Joseph J. "Bucky" DeSantis, 93, a life long resident of Hudson, died Friday, March 18th at Bolton Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Marlboro. He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Marion (Gould) DeSantis who died in 2005.
Bucky was born and raised in Hudson, son of the late Nazareno and Loretta (Meschini) DeSantis. He attended local schools and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army, 4098th Quartermaster Railroad Co. until being honorably discharged in 1946. He worked for many years at the former Thomas Taylor and Son's Co. in Hudson until retiring. He was a member of the Hudson Elk's Lodge, member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
He is survived by his two daughters, Nancy Wall and her husband Carl of Hudson, Sheila DeSantis-Head and her husband Fred of Newnan, Georgia; his four grandchildren, Carl, Lee and Christopher Wall and Keith DeSantis. He is also survived by his five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews He was the brother of the late George and Nicholas DeSantis, Constance Timledge and Mary DeSantis.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 21st from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
