Joseph N. Jacobs II-76, of Indiana, PA, formally of Hudson, MA, died May 12, 2006 at the Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburg, PA.
He is survived by his wife of forty five years Dorothy D. (Deptula) Jacobs.
Born October 27, 1929, he was the son of the late Joseph and Alice (LaFoley) Jacobs.
He was a graduate of Hudson High School and later received his Bachelors Degree from Boston University. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Marine Corps as a First Lieutenant. He was a resident of Indiana, PA for forty two years and was the President and CEO of Race Tire America of Indiana, PA. He enjoyed reading about history, especially pertaining to WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed gardening as a hobby.
Besides his wife he is survived by his two sons; Joseph N. Jacobs III of Columbus, OH, Andrew P. Jacobs of Arlington, MA, two daughters; Carolyn S. McCully of Smicksburg, PA and Allison D. Jacobs of Indiana, PA.
He is also survived by his three brothers; Harold Jacobs of NV, Richard Jacobs of CT, Paul Jacobs of Hudson, MA, four sisters; Jeanette Rogers of ME, Carol Rooney, Alice Bateman both of Hudson, MA, Beverly Loureiro of CT, three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Donald, Roy, Charles, Edward, Raymond and John Jacobs, Eleanor Maclachlan and Murial Barteaux.
A memorial mass will be celebrated Monday, October 2, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church, 21 Manning street, Hudson MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
