Josephine M. (Adamanis) Kerdok-90, of Hudson, MA died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at St. Patrick's Manor Nursing Home in Framingham, where she had been a resident for the past four and a half years. Prior to that time she had been a resident of both Berlin and East Dennis, MA.
She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Kerdok who passed away in 2004. At that time, they had been married for 62 years.
Born in Hudson, MA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anastasia (Linkewicz) Adamanis.
Mrs. Kerdok attended Hudson schools and was a 1937 graduate of Hudson H.S. She attended business school in Boston before starting employment at Thomas Taylor & Sons of Hudson, where she met her husband. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Parish in Hudson.
During her lifetime, Mrs. Kerdok enjoyed traveling and dancing with her husband. She also enjoyed the times with their many friends they made while living in Arizona and on Cape Cod. She also loved collecting antiques, gardening and doing many different types of needlework. Mrs. Kerdok always took great pride in her home and family, especially her three granddaughters.
She leaves her sons, Richard A. Kerdok and his wife Geraldine and Robert A. Kerdok and his wife Jane; and a daughter, Nancy J. Girard and her husband Michael, all of Hudson. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, James M. Kerdok who died in 2005.
She also leaves 3 grandchildren and one great granchild, Sarah Donato and her husband Patrick and their son Jackson of Framingham, Amy Kerdok of Menlo Park, CA and Laura Girard of Hudson.
She was the sister in law of Antonia Kotarski and the late John J. Kerdok of Hudson and aunt of Ann Hildreth and the late Katherine Verrier.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Dec. 3, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Sunday, Dec. 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
