Joyce May (Edwards) Hook, 78, of Hudson, formerly of New Hampshire, died on Monday, April 15th at her residence in Hudson surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Kenneth Hook of Dalton, NH.
Joyce was born in Lisbon, NH, daughter of the late Arthur O. and Etta M. (Hickey) Edwards. She resided in New Hampshire until moving to Hudson in 2006. She worked for the Odley Construction Co. and Midway Construction Co. in New Hampshire as a flag person for many years until her retirement. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church in Hudson, member of the Hudson Amvet's Auxilliary, member of the Hudson Senior Center and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aries #2629 in New Hampshire.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Carroll R. Brunelle of Bethlehem, NH, Cregg E. Brunelle of Hudson, MA, Christine J. McGuigan of Hudson, MA; her step-children, Gordon Hook of Littleton, NH, Richard Hook of Maine and Valerie Wright of Vermont. She is also survived by her 21 loving grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and her many extended family members. She was predeceased by her grandson, Kenneth Brunelle.
Though she loved all her Grandchildren with all her heart, Charlotte was outstanding in her response to her very sick grandma, in her last struggling days.
A funeral Service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20th at 12:00 noon in Grace Baptist Church, 353 River Road, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours on Saturday, April 20th from 10:00 to 11:45 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
