Kalliopi M. Paroussis, 91, devoted mother and grandmother, died Monday, January 16, 2006 at the Park View Specialty Hospital in Leicester surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late Mihael Paroussis who died in 1965. Born in Vavourion, Greece, daughter of Konstantinos and Maria (Nikolaou) Paroussis she spent her time at home caring for her loving children and grandchildren, and was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church Saints Anargyroi in Marlboro.
She is survived by her sons Christos Paroussis and his wife Tina of Worcester and Evangelos Paroussis and his wife Mona of Canada, daughters Victoria Migdalis and husband Vasilos of Worcester, Frederiki Papanikolaou and was the mother in law of the late Iakovos Papanikolaou of Hudson. She was the mother of the late Angeliki Tsakos who died in 1989 and is survived by her son in law John Tsakos. She is also survived by her sister Georgios Nikolaou of Greece, fourteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, January 21 with a mass at 1:00 p.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church Saints Anargyroi, 9 Central St. Marlboro, MA. Calling hours will be private. Burial will be in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Arrangements are under the direction of Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
