Kevin David Tyler passed away peacefully on June 6, 2023 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by his parents Virginia & Donald Tyler and his oldest brother Jeffery. Kevin leaves his brother Robert Tyler (Catherine) of Austin TX., niece Alissa Tyler of Lebanon CT, niece Amy Tyler (Bill Benker) and their children Robert and Arden of Austin, TX.
He also leaves long-time friends Bob Mitchell, David Flood, and Andrew Chem. Their assistance and friendship over the last few months was invaluable to his family.
Kevin grew up in Hudson and lived there for the majority of his life. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1970 and UMASS Lowell in 1974 with a BS in biology. After graduating he first worked at New England Nuclear Medicine. He later had an interim job building BJ’s Warehouses in the northeast before joining the Hudson Fire Department in 1985.
After his father died, Kevin moved back in with his mother and cared for her through a long, tough battle with Alzheimer’s.
Spending time outdoors fishing and hunting were Kevin’s passions. After retirement in 2008, he was able to pursue them full time. He fished and hunted the New England states as well as the Great Lakes, Carolina’s, Florida, Louisiana and Mexico. He also developed an interest in photography and printing, and he shared his beautiful prints with his family and friends.
Funeral services will be private. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
