Kevin Maye, a dedicated husband, father, brother, and esteemed professional, passed away suddenly on June 30, 2024, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on May 4, 1964 in New York state, Kevin was the son of the late Patrick and Bridget Maye. He was the oldest of their two children. He graduated from the Waltham High School Class of 1982.

Out of high school, he followed his father’s footsteps and worked in the plumbing industry. Later on, he proudly accepted a position at National Grid. He spent 35 remarkable years of his life there, where he excelled in his role as a A-Tech, finally landing his favorite position as a Contractor Oversight Inspector. His commitment to excellence and unwavering dedication to his work earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Kevin was an avid fisherman and member of the Riverside Rod and Gun Club. He was also a collector of pocket watches and historical memorabilia. Most of all, Kevin was a true family man through and through.

Kevin's true pride and joy were his family. He was so proud of the life he built for them. He shared a deep and loving bond with his wife and treasure, Colleen Maye, who stood by his side through thick and thin. Together, they raised three wonderful children - Melissa, Timothy and Thomas.

Kevin leaves behind his wife, Colleen Maye. He also leaves behind his daughter Melissa Queiros and her husband Ryan, and two sons, Timothy Maye and his wife Mackenzie, and Thomas Maye. In addition to his immediate family, Kevin leaves behind his brother Brendan Maye Sr., as well as three nephews, one niece, and several cousins. His love and influence extended far beyond his home, touching the lives of all those around him.

Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, integrity, and selflessness. His impact on both the professional world and within his family will continue to resonate for years to come.

As we mourn the loss of Kevin from our lives, let us also celebrate the beautiful memories he leaves behind. May his spirit live on in our hearts forever.

Services for Kevin will include a memorial mass followed by a celebration of life in the early fall.
