Leonora H. (Correia) Correa, 85, a long time resident of Hudson, currently residing in Bolton, died Monday, April 30th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of 40 plus years to the late Edmund G. Correa who died in 1995.
Leonora was born in Somerville, daughter of the late John and Natalia (Felgueira) Correia. She was a graduate of Saint Michael's Academy in Hudson. She was employed by the Mass Electric Co. in Westboro for 10 years as an administrator until her retirement. She was a member of the former Christ the King Parish in Hudson.
Leonora was a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother. She cherished all the love her nine children, all her grandchildren and great children shared with her and took great pride in the raising of her nine children. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Edmund Correa and his wife Ellen of Marlboro, Robert Correa and his wife Carol of San Antonio, TX, Leonora Knipe and her husband David of Hopedale, Anmarie Prendergast and her husband Ronald of Hudson, Alice Callahan and her husband Robert of Grafton, Elizabeth Tewksbary and her husband David of Bolton, Mary Barry and her husband Robert of Hudson, Cathleen Mahoney of Dublin, GA and was predeceased by her daughter, Jeannette Correa. She is also survived by her 27 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Leonora was predeceased by her siblings.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 4h at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 3rd from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
