HUDSON, MA

Leroy E. Sturtevant Jr., 90, a former resident of Hudson, MA, died on January 21, 2025. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to the late Beverly M. (Munroe) Sturtevant who died in 2022.

Leroy was born in Ipswich, MA, son of the late Leroy and Sturtevant Sr. and Louise (Tinkum) Sturtevant. He was employed as a quality control inspector for the Raytheon Corp. for many years until retiring. He served in the Army National Guard until being honorably discharged.

Leroy leaves behind his 2 sons, Michael Sturtevant and his wife Nancy of Lyndonville, VT and Wayne Sturtevant, husband of the late Sheryl Sturtevant. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Charles H. Munroe Jr. of Berlin; his 5 grandchildren, Melissa Sturtevant-Borst, Sarah Sturtevant, Candice Stevens, Matthew Sturtevant, Mark Sturtevant along with other relatives and friends.

Leroy and his wife Beverly enjoyed the many years they spent together in Hudson where they raised their family. Leroy and Beverly, along with their family always looked forward to heading to their summer home in Wells, ME. He enjoyed many days playing golf and socializing with friends in Maine also. He always cherished spending time with his family, especially later with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by all who loved and knew him.

Family and friends may gather at Forestvale Cemetery, Broad Street, Hudson, MA on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 am for a Graveside Service and to Celebrate Leroy’s life. Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
