On the morning of November 2, 2013 Louis W. Visockas peacefully went to be with his Lord. He is predeceased by his wife Mary A. (Misunus) Visockas in July 2012 and his son, Mark W. Visockas in November 1977. He leaves his daughter, Katherine A. (Visockas) Roberts and her husband, Dana E. Roberts of Bolton; his brother Francis P. Visockas of Bolton; his sister Ann (Visockas) Romanoff of Charlton; He leaves four grandchildren; Benjamin V. Roberts and his wife Jennie of Fitchburg; Amanda J.(Roberts) Mack and her husband Ben of Oxford; Edmund D. Roberts and his wife Shiloh of Princeton; Christine T. (Roberts) Pieculewicz and her husband Brian of Bolton. He also leaves a niece, Paula A. Romanoff of Sturbridge and her two sons, Jonathan and Paul Wisell. He was grateful and proud to spend quality time with his nine precious great-grandchildren.
He honorably served in the US Army as a paratrooper with the 17th Airborne Division and the 101st Airborne Division - seeing action in the European invasion of Germany. He was past member of the Bolton Lions Club as its Charter President and a Zone Chairman as well as Deputy District Governor of District 33A. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, Leicester Council 4528.
He loved working with nature. He constructed what is now known and appreciated as Bowers Springs Conservation Land; carving the two ponds from the swamp over a period of six years. He retired as the Maintenance Supervisor of Weetabix Manufacturing Co. He was grateful to be surrounded by his close family his whole life.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held in Saint John's Cemetery, Parker Road in Lancaster on Wednesday, Nov.6th at 11:00 a.m. There are no calling hours and all are encouraged to go directly to the cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Louis may be made to: VNA Care Hospice, Rose Monahan Hospice Home,10 Judith Road, Worcester, MA 01602-3213.
