Louise E. (Barbin) Beddie, 96, a long time resident of Hudson, died on Saturday, Jan. 19th at Beaumont Skilled Care and Nursing Facility of Worcester. She was the beloved wife of 62 years to the late William Beddie who died in 1999.
Louise was born in Newport, VT, daughter of the late Philip and Eva (Pelkey) Barbin. She spent many years residing in Hudson and was employed by Bradford Spinning Co., Victory Plastics and later the Raytheon Company. Louise always looked forward to camping in Maine and spending the winter months in Florida. She and her husband Bill enjoyed dancing, especially at the many events held at the Hudson Elks. She had a passion for bingo and playing cards in her spare time. Louise took great pride as a homemaker and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, William P. Beddie and his wife Cynthia of Newfields, NH, Richard W. Beddie of Hudson, Philip G. Beddie and his wife Patricia of Worcester and E. Louise Petersen and her husband Timothy of Lewiston, ME. She is also survived by her 11 loving grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Marion Smith of Santa Ana, CA.
Family and friends may attend calling hours on Tuesday, Jan. 22nd from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749 followed by a service and celebration of Louise's life on Tuesday, Jan. 22nd at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial services will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
