Louise E. (Sowden) Parker, 78, of Hudson, died unexpectedly Monday, March 17, at Marlboro Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, David Parker of Hudson; 3 sons, Jeffrey Parker and his wife Maureen, Gary Parker and his wife Enid, Gregory Parker and his wife Kathryn; one daughter, Karen LeBlanc and her husband Jacques; 7 grandchildren, Kyle, Corey, Callie, Shayna and Cole Parker and Cameron and Kasey LeBlanc whom she doted on constantly. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters in law, Alan and Mona Parker, Lee and Alda Parker, Linda Sowden, many cousins and "Rusty" their dog.
She was born in Holyoke, MA and grew up in Hudson. She graduated from Hudson H.S. in 1947 and earned her nursing degree from Melrose-Wakefield Nursing Program in 1950. She worked for a number of years at Marlboro Hospital as an operating room nurse. She was an avid tennis player and won many championships.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 29 at 3:00 p.m. in the Unitarian Church, 102 Main Street, Hudson. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of: Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
