Manuel Rego Sousa-68, of Hudson, MA died Sunday, December 16, 2007 at his residence in Hudson.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Isaltina (Chaves) Sousa of Hudson.
Born in Santa Maria theAzores, Portugal, son of the late Manuel and Angelina (Sousa) Rego.
He was a custodian for the former Digital Equipment Corp. He was a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his 3 daughters, Adelia Ferreira of Clinton, M. Goretti Cabral and Lucilia Medeiros, both of Hudson; and one son, Rui Sousa of Lancaster.
He is also survived by his 3 brothers, Antonio and Luis Sousa of Canada, Jose M. Sousa of France; 2 sisters, Maria Lurdes of Portugal, Maria Angelina of Canada; 3 grandaughters, 2 grandsons and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Wednesday, Dec. 19, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
