Manuel F. Resendes, 59, of Hudson, died on Sunday, June 21st at Marlboro Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Laurinda (Monteiro) Resendes of Hudson.
Born in Santa Maria, The Azores, son of the late Manuel and Maria (Freitas) Resendes, Manuel was employed as a machine operator by the Trelleborg Sealing Solutions Co. of Northboro. He was a member of the Hudson Portuguese Club and member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Donny Resendes and his wife Jacqelyn of Hudson, Joanne Donahue and her husband Matthew of Leominster, Melissa Packard and her husband Scott of Boylston; his brother, Jose F. Resendes of Hudson; two sisters, Maria Gloria Frias of Hudson and Lidia Coelho of Santa Maria. He is also survived by his three Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Antonio Resendes who died in 1993.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, June 25th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 24th, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
