Margaret Ann (Doyle) Cronin

Margaret “Peggy” A. (Doyle) Cronin, 83, a lifelong Hudson resident, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 18, 2019, surrounded by her loving family, after a period of declining health. She is together again with her beloved husband of 47 years, Robert F. Cronin, who predeceased her in 2013.

Peggy was born in Hudson, MA, on September 26, 1935, a daughter of the late John P. and Sophie ( KIERTIANIS) Doyle. She attended Hudson High School and graduated in the class of 1953. Peggy worked as a legal secretary at Jack Kittredge, Paul Giannetti, & Paul Cellucci, and also as an administrative assistant for Raytheon for many years before eventually retiring. She was a former member of Christ the King Church and a longtime member of Saint Michael Parish.

Peggy was a very active person who was a regular at the Hudson Senior Center exercise classes. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, listening to Toby Keith, and meeting her girlfriends routinely for coffee at Honey Dew. Peggy also loved traveling with her late husband and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren participating in sports.

Peggy is survived by her two sons, Timothy F. Cronin and his wife Melissa of Hudson and Dennis M. Cronin and his wife Rebecca of Clinton; her brother Donald Doyle and his wife Margaret; her six grandchildren, Stephanie Jordan and her husband Jason, Jacob Cronin, Gabriella Cronin, Danny Cronin, Cameron Cronin and Sean Cronin; her special niece, Diane Amoling and her husband Chris and several other nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Rutkowski.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 am on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA. Burial will be private at a later date.
