Margaret "Janice" (Hatt) Prachnick

Margaret “Janice” (Hatt) Prachnick, 84, a lifelong resident of Berlin, MA, passed away peacefully, at home, on Thursday, February 24, 2022. She is reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 55 years, Julian A. Prachnick, who predeceased her on August 17, 2014.

Margaret was born in Worcester, MA, on January 9, 1938, she was the last surviving of 4 children of the late Harry Weldon Hatt and Beatrice (Haney) Hatt. She was raised in Berlin, MA where she remained with her own husband, together raising their son. Margaret was a devoted homemaker, who loved to spend time with her friends and family. She especially enjoyed being social with and having tea time with her many friends and loved ones. Margaret was also an avid crafter, making braided rugs, refinishing furniture and working on various sewing projects.

Margaret is survived by her loving son, William J. Prachnick of Berlin, MA and 2 grandchildren, Amanda L. Prachnick of Florida and Jonathan W. Prachnick of Berlin, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 4-7pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. A Graveside Committal Service will be held at 10am on Friday, March 11, 2022 at North Cemetery in Berlin.
