Margaret (Santella) Silva -97, of Falmouth, formerly of Hudson, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Royal Megansett Nursing and Retirement Home in North Falmouth.
She was the wife of the late Joseph Silva for 60 years until he passed away in 1994.
She was born in Marlborough on May 2, 1910, daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Disimone) Santella.
She was a member of the former Christ King Parish in Hudson and member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary in Hudson. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and crocheting as hobbies and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her son, Charles Silva and daughter-in-law Eleanor (Kelleher) Silva of Falmouth. She also leaves her 5 grandchildren, Mary Silva Doctor of Nashville, TN, Charles Silva Jr. of Valatie, NY, Matthew Silva of St. Louis, MO, Mark Silva of Roslindale, MA and Jane Depp of Princeton, NJ; along with 14 great grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, Jan. 21, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michaels Church 21 Manning Street Hudson MA. Burial will be in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Monday, Jan. 21, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the mass at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
