Maria A. (Soares) Cabral, 77, of Hudson, died on Monday, Feb. 9th at Marlboro Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jose Cabral of Hudson.
She was born in St. Michael, the Azores, daughter of the late Joao and Laura (Pacheco) Soares and was a weaver for the former Thomas Taylor Co. in Hudson for many years until her retirement. She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her three sons, Alfredo, Jose and Joao Cabral and two daughters, Maria Resendes and Valeriana Cabral, all of Hudson. She is also survived by her two brothers, Jose Maria and Eduardo Soares of Santa Maria, the Azores; her sister, Lourdes Freitas of Hudson; 12 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 12th at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning Street, Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 11th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central St. Hudson, MA 01749.
