Maria "Helena" (Moura) Barros, of Hudson, died on Feb. 21st, at Marlboro Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Jose Andradre Barros for 60 years.
Born in Santa Maria, the Azores, daughter of Joao and Maria (Moura) Bairos. Besides her husband she is survived by her 11 children Antonio and his wife Ines Barros, Germano and his wife Valentina Barros, Jorge and his wife Conceicao Barros and Raul and his wife Adelaide all of Canada. Lidia and her husband Jose Manual Botelho of Santa Maria, Portugal. Armando and his wife Elisa Barros of Milford, MA, Belmira and her husband Jose Carvalho, Jose Ernesto Barros, Dinis Barros, Maria Matilde and her husband Eduardo Moura and Guida and her husband Daniel Milton all of Hudson. Also survived by one sister Maria Bairos of Canada. Surfvived by 23 grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Helena retired from Thomas Taylor and Sons of Hudson where she was employed as a machine operator. She was a communicant at St. Michael's Church.
Calling hours will be Tuesday February 23rd from 5:00 to 8:00PM at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St. Hudson, MA. Funeral will be on Wednesday February 24th at 9AM at St. Michael's Church, Hudson. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hudson.
