Fatima married José Armando Resendes on December 18, 1976 in Santa Maria, Açores. They migrated to the United States and settled in Hudson, MA where they started their family. She was currently retired and spending her days at home with her beloved husband. Fatima lived a life characterized by boundless love, selflessness, and grace, embodying the virtues of a saint in every action and word.
Fatima’s life revolved around her family, whom she cherished beyond measure. She was a beloved big sister, a devoted wife, a nurturing mother, a beloved aunt, and a doting grandmother who loved her grandchildren with a fierceness that knew no bounds. Her daily life was enriched by long outdoor walks, a practice that kept her grounded and brought her great peace. Fatima was a passionate and talented cook, known for her ability to prepare delicious, homestyle Portuguese meals that brought joy and comfort to family and all who were fortunate enough to share her table.
Her dedication extended beyond her husband, children, and grandchildren to her four sisters, with whom she shared a special bond of camaraderie and love. Fatima’s selflessness was evident in every aspect of her life. She always placed the needs of others above her own and found her greatest joy in the happiness of those she loved.
Fatima’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and sisters, as well as in the countless lives she touched with her love, kindness and generosity. Though she is no longer here on earth, her legacy of love and her enduring spirit will remain a guiding light for all who had the privilege of knowing her. We find solace in knowing that Fatima is now an angel watching over us from heaven, guiding and comforting us with her eternal presence. Though we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the enduring light she will bring into our lives from above. Fatima’s love and memory will forever be a cherished part of our hearts.
